About the role
Fairwinds Technologies is hiring a Senior Program Manager to lead a major airborne communications modernization program based in Oklahoma City. The role oversees cost, schedule, technical, and operational execution of aircraft modification and integration efforts for defense customers.
What you’ll do
Lead all aspects of program execution including cost, schedule, technical, contractual, and operational performance.
Direct integration of avionics, communications, mission systems, software, and hardware into existing aircraft platforms.
Lead Integrated Product Teams, subcontractors, and partner organizations to achieve program goals.
Monitor program performance using Earned Value Management and established metrics.
Serve as senior interface with government, industry, and international stakeholders.
Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams in a complex defense environment.
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Systems, Computer, or Avionics Engineering or related technical discipline.
15+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, military aviation, or aircraft modernization programs.
10+ years leading complex avionics, aircraft integration, or defense acquisition programs.
Demonstrated success managing aircraft integration efforts from design through testing, certification, and delivery.
Experience leading large engineering teams supporting government customers valued at $35M+.
Active DoD Secret clearance and eligibility to work in the US.
