About the role
Flex is seeking a Product Owner to lead its Accountants Stack, covering accounting integrations, expense management, bill pay, invoicing, AR/AP, and financial reporting. The role focuses on building products for business owners and accountants while connecting business and personal financial data.
What you’ll do
Lead accounting integrations and financial data connectivity
Own expense management, bill pay, invoicing, and AR/AP product areas
Build financial reporting capabilities for business owners and accountants
Connect business and personal financial data
Represent the accountant channel in product decisions
What you’ll need
4 to 10 years of product experience
Deep hands-on familiarity with at least two accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Dynamics 365 Business Central, or Acumatica
Understands the difference between bookkeeper, controller, fractional CFO, and outside accountant roles
Can journal transactions and understands accrual versus cash basis, the close cycle, and audit trail concerns
Has built inside an accounting platform, as an integration partner, or in fintech within the accounting workflow
Bonus: experience building for or partnering with CPAs
