About the role
Lead DevOps engineer for the ATLAS system supporting the U.S. Space Force, responsible for building and operating backend services, Kubernetes deployment, and operational support across multiple environments.
What you’ll do
Build and operate backend services and deployment capabilities for the ATLAS system
Develop backend microservices and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and SQL
Deploy and manage Kubernetes-based applications with automation and resource configuration
Implement CI/CD, automated testing, and application configuration management
Provide operational support across multiple environments
Develop data initialization, provisioning, or lifecycle-management capabilities
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree and 9+ years relevant experience, or graduate degree with 7+ years, or 13+ years without a degree
Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and SQL microservices
Experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting distributed applications
Hands-on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes-based applications
Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and application configuration management
Must hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance
