About the role
Saronic Technologies seeks a Senior Systems Test Software Engineer to build verification infrastructure for autonomous vessel software, including testing frameworks, HITL, simulation, and replay pipelines to ensure mission reliability.
What you’ll do
Develop testing strategies, frameworks, and tools for autonomous vessel software.
Build and operate hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) test rigs and simulation pipelines.
Implement fuzz-testing and property-based testing suites.
Design deterministic simulation and fleet-data replay systems.
Treat test infrastructure as a production codebase.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve failures and prevent defects.
What you’ll need
5+ years of software engineering experience with test infrastructure ownership.
Proficiency in Rust and/or C++ with Python for test orchestration.
Experience with HITL, fuzz testing, or deterministic simulation.
Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or safety-critical environments.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
