About the role
GXO Enterprise Services is hiring an Applications Development Engineer to design, test, and support complex Java-based applications, integrate RESTful APIs with warehouse management systems, and manage CI/CD and cloud infrastructure.
What you’ll do
Develop, test, maintain, and support complex applications
Design software solutions and mentor junior programmers
Manage moderately sized development efforts and controlled production releases
Integrate RESTful APIs with warehouse management systems including Blue Yonder, Boomi, and Workato
Orchestrate multi-stage deployment pipelines across Dev, QA, Staging, and Production
Implement API security with HMAC, OAuth, SSL/TLS, and asynchronous processing queues
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or foreign equivalent
1 year of experience in the job offered or a Java-related Applications Development Engineer occupation
Proficiency with Java 11, Spring Boot, Python FastAPI, and frontend frameworks
Experience with RESTful API integration and high-throughput webhook APIs
Knowledge of API security, distributed systems patterns, and messaging queues
Experience with GCP, Docker, CI/CD, PostgreSQL, and container management
