About the role
Medecision seeks an API Engineer III to design, build, and maintain customer-, partner-, and AI agent-facing APIs and backend services, including FHIR-based integrations and cloud-native healthcare solutions. What you’ll do
Design, build, version, secure, test, and maintain APIs and backend services
Develop FHIR-based integrations and platform workflows
Manage API gateway and developer portal configurations
Collaborate on architecture for scalable, interoperable healthcare solutions
Provide production support for APIs and backend services
Integrate APIs with AI agents or LLM-based tools
What you’ll need
4-6 years of backend engineering experience in Java and Spring Boot
Experience designing externally consumed APIs with versioning and backward compatibility
Knowledge of API security best practices: authentication, authorization, multi-tenant data isolation
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Familiarity with FHIR, healthcare data exchange, or interoperability frameworks
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native development
