About the role
Develops technical requirements and engineering standards for metal building engineering systems, designs and tests software solutions, and improves workflows across engineering, IT, drafting, and manufacturing teams.
What you’ll do
Develop technical requirements and engineering standards for enhancements, projects, and initiatives
Develop and test software solutions for metal building engineering systems
Improve workflows across engineering, IT, drafting, manufacturing, and other teams
Design and implement automated workflows and rule-based systems for engineering calculations
Gather requirements, create technical documentation, and diagram systems
Represent software interests in task forces, project reviews, and engineering councils
What you’ll need
2+ years of building design experience or related field; 5+ years in engineering software development and systems engineering with at least 1 year in a senior or lead role
Strong programming skills in C# and C++
Database expertise including SQL Server and Microsoft Access
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks
Experience debugging, testing, and maintaining legacy systems and complex codebases
Bachelor's degree in civil/Structural Engineering preferred
