About the role
Trustly is hiring a Director to own the product strategy and roadmap for its risk decisioning and collections platforms while running the operating cadence for the Data and Risk organizations. This hybrid San Francisco-based leadership role manages risk and collections product and operations teams, partnering with engineering and data science on ML-driven, compliance-ready payment risk products.
What you’ll do
Own product strategy and roadmap for risk decisioning and collections platforms
Run operating cadence for the Data and Risk organizations
Lead risk and collections product and operations teams
Partner with engineering on architecture, build-versus-buy, and delivery
Translate regulatory and compliance obligations into product requirements
Manage planning cadence including OKRs, headcount, budget, business reviews, and executive/board materials
What you’ll need
10+ years in product management with 5+ years leading risk, fraud, or collections products in payments or financial services
Experience building real-time decisioning platforms including rules engines, model scores in the decision path, and rule authoring with simulation and rollback
Experience leading product managers and partnering with engineering on architecture, build-versus-buy, and delivery
Experience shipping ML-driven products with data science teams and using AI to automate workflows and reporting
Experience translating regulatory and compliance obligations into product requirements with Compliance and Legal
Domain expertise in ACH/EFT, open banking or account-to-account payments, collections/recovery, and agency/vendor management
