What you’ll do
Own a product category and its P&L
Lead product portfolio and four product line managers
Build and defend business cases and rank development funnel by financial merit
Oversee stage-gate decisions and launch outcomes
Specify products to engineering and overseas contract manufacturers
Manage pricing, margin, and portfolio rationalization
What you’ll need
8+ years in product/product line management with direct ownership of a line
Ownership of a product line P&L, including pricing, margin, portfolio rationalization, and SKU-level data fluency
Formal stage-gate experience with business cases, market sizing/segmentation, and launch performance reviews
Background in physical hardware products (instruments, test/measurement, tools); software-only product experience is not a fit
Experience managing/mentoring product managers and specifying products to engineering and overseas contract manufacturers
Preference for candidates in the San Diego area and with domain experience in communications, utility locating, fiber optics, electrical contracting, or tool trades
