Google is seeking a Senior Hardware Qualification Engineer to qualify machine-learning hardware for platform infrastructure through electrical, functional, performance, and reliability testing, and to coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and internal teams.
What you’ll do
Qualify ML hardware through electrical, functional, performance, and reliability testing
Analyze test results and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and internal teams
Use scripting and automation to execute test algorithms and analyze results
Collect and analyze hardware traces using lab equipment
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
4 years of hardware qualification experience, or 3 years with an advanced degree
Experience with data center hardware testing requirements and algorithms
Experience with scripting, automation, and lab equipment such as scopes and analyzers
Experience in technical leadership
Understanding of ML hardware, memory systems, interconnect technologies, and signal integrity
