About the role
NinjaOne is hiring a Senior/Staff C++ engineer to build foundational endpoint state and control systems, focusing on Windows kernel-mode components, scalable C++ features, and platform performance. This remote role involves designing a net-new system from first principles and collaborating across engineering teams.
What you’ll do
Build foundational controls for endpoint behavior and security
Develop scalable C++ features used across managed endpoints
Improve platform performance and ship reliable software
Drive technical design and write architecture documents
Define subsystem contracts and work cross-functionally with server and UI engineers
Experiment with AI tools in the development workflow
What you’ll need
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field
7+ years of C++ development experience with proficiency in C++ 14 or newer
5+ years of Windows systems-level C++ engineering
Strong familiarity with Windows kernel drivers and experience designing/maintaining kernel-mode drivers or services on production endpoints
Comfortable designing from first principles with sparse documentation and undefined requirements
