About the role
We are looking for a Principal Software & Data Engineer to lead the design and implementation of energy management software and data platforms, focusing on data ingestion, storage, APIs, and reliability for battery energy storage and distributed energy resource control systems.
What you’ll do
Own architecture and implementation of EMS software and data platform
Build and deploy production software
Implement data ingestion, storage, and application services
Design and integrate APIs
Ensure reliability and performance of data systems
Provide technical leadership for energy storage and DER control systems
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in CS or related technical field
8+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, Go, Java, C++, C#, or Rust)
Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, time-series data, and ingestion pipelines
Experience with Linux, containerization, CI/CD, and version control
