Lead and support a team of iOS software engineers building communication software for assistive devices. The role combines hands-on development with mentoring, team supervision, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver safe, maintainable, and impactful products.
What you’ll do
Assist management with department operations, resource coordination, budgeting, and scheduling
Mentor iOS software engineers and supervise their technical and administrative work
Review software strategy to ensure safe, maintainable, and effective products
Complete performance appraisals and support staff professional development
Contribute to iOS software development for communication devices and support tools
Collaborate with engineering, product, QA, manufacturing, and service teams
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, equivalent degree, or equivalent work experience
At least 6 years of experience developing native iOS applications using Swift
Experience with software and product systems design and programming
Experience with object-oriented design and MVC/MVVM architectures
Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
