About the role
Asperian Talent is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer for a renowned hedge fund to build and evolve distributed compute platforms supporting research and trading. The role involves shaping technical direction, architecting critical infrastructure, and optimizing large-scale distributed systems.
What you’ll do
Build and evolve distributed compute platforms
Shape technical direction and develop critical infrastructure systems
Design, build, and scale distributed compute systems in production
Optimize compute utilization, workload scheduling, and infrastructure performance
Ensure reliability of large-scale production systems
What you’ll need
4+ years of commercial software or infrastructure engineering experience
Deep understanding of distributed systems fundamentals including concurrency, resource management, fault tolerance, and scalability
Experience with Kubernetes, Ray, Slurm, Apache Spark, or similar distributed compute frameworks
Strong track record of owning complex engineering initiatives and architecture decisions
Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field with GPA 3.7+
Experience in high-growth startups or scale-ups, including as a founding engineer or technical lead
