About the role
This role bridges accounting and financial management stakeholders with analytics and application development teams, translating business processes into technical requirements and validating solutions against accounting needs. The consultant supports system development, implementation, and financial data analysis within government-focused financial systems.
What you’ll do
Translate business processes into technical requirements
Support development and implementation of financial systems
Validate solutions against accounting needs
Perform analysis on general ledger and financial reporting data
Communicate progress and results to stakeholders
Design queries using ERP subledger tables for procure-to-pay analysis
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in auditing, accounting, data analytics, financial management, or related areas
Experience working with accounting stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into technical requirements
Proficiency with Python, PySpark, SQL, or other programming languages
Active Interim Secret Clearance or higher and U.S. citizenship
Experience with War Data Platform (previously Advana), DoD ERP systems such as Army GFEBS, Navy ERP, or Defense Agencies Initiative
