About the role
Seeking an experienced Golang developer with staff-level expertise to design and build production-grade backend services, shape enterprise architecture, and integrate with AI-agent systems for a remote contract role.
What you’ll do
Build and maintain production-grade backend services
Shape enterprise architecture and establish architectural standards
Design and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL services
Define service boundaries and make technical decisions
Integrate backend systems with AI agents and AI/ML platforms
Ensure database performance and data consistency
What you’ll need
8+ years professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership capacity
Strong hands-on Golang experience building production-grade backend services
Deep understanding of microservices, distributed systems, concurrency, scalability, and fault tolerance
Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL, including API contracts and versioning
Strong SQL development with PostgreSQL and/or Oracle, and hands-on MongoDB
Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) or comparable agent-tool integration patterns
