Shermco Industries seeks a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to identify AI opportunities across business units, build and deploy solutions that deliver measurable business value, and drive adoption and governance while partnering with an AI Product Engineer for custom engineering.
What you’ll do
Identify AI opportunities across Shermco business units
Build, deploy, and improve AI solutions delivering measurable business value
Own low-code and configuration solutions through production
Support adoption and governance of AI solutions
Partner with the AI Product Engineer on solutions requiring extensive custom engineering
Run discovery with stakeholders and translate ambiguous problems into scoped solutions
What you’ll need
5+ years in software engineering, data engineering, applied machine learning, solutions engineering, or related technical role
2+ years building AI or LLM-based solutions used in production
Strong Python and SQL skills with REST API and enterprise system integration experience
Hands-on LLM experience including prompt design, RAG, tool use, and basic evaluation
Experience with a cloud AI platform such as Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI
Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
