About the role
Understood.org is hiring a Director of Product Management to lead the strategy and roadmap for AI-enabled consumer products, manage the product management team, and build cross-functional partnerships to deliver accessible, trustworthy experiences for people with learning and thinking differences.
What you’ll do
Define strategy and roadmap for AI-enabled consumer products
Lead AI product vision and execution
Manage the product management team, including hiring and resourcing
Build cross-functional partnerships
Own team-level priorities and budget
Communicate directly with leadership and executive leadership teams
What you’ll need
10+ years of product management experience in consumer-facing technology
3+ years leading a team or area in a complex environment
3+ years managing product managers and multiple direct reports
Deep expertise in consumer product management and AI/ML-driven products
Track record of leveraging AI to drive positive consumer and business outcomes
Strong technical fluency in machine learning and generative AI
