About the role
OpenAI's People Innovation Labs is hiring a Technical Program Manager to lead cross-functional programs building AI-powered tools for talent and employee support. This role owns planning, launch, and iteration, requiring hands-on execution, technical fluency, and the ability to turn user feedback into product improvements.
What you’ll do
Lead complex cross-functional programs from planning through launch and adoption
Gather user feedback and drive ongoing product iteration
Provide hands-on support while the product is new
Identify patterns across qualitative feedback, usage data, and operational signals
Turn insights into actionable recommendations and portfolio alignment
Communicate clearly across technical teams, operational partners, users, and executives
What you’ll need
7+ years of experience in technical program management, product operations, or similar leading complex software initiatives
Independently led multiple high-impact programs involving several technical and business teams
Helped take new software products from early planning through launch, adoption, and rapid iteration
Strong technical fluency to partner with engineers on architecture, integrations, data dependencies, security, and reliability
Experience leading significant operational or organizational change alongside technical product delivery
Ability to influence senior leaders and build alignment across teams with competing priorities
