About the role
DC Government is hiring a DCPS Applications Architect Journeyman to support Business Intelligence initiatives for the District of Columbia Public Schools. This remote role focuses on Power BI development, data architecture, documentation, user training, and BI strategy consultation.
What you’ll do
Support DCPS Office of Data & Technology Business Intelligence initiatives
Develop and deploy Power BI solutions
Design and maintain data architecture

Consult on BI strategy
What you’ll need
6-10 years applying data visualization and business intelligence to real-world business problems
Advanced experience with MS Power BI, including Power BI Desktop/Server, DAX, and SQL
Microsoft technology stack experience (SQL Server, SQL Management Studio, SSIS, SSAS, Azure data platform)
Exceptional analytical, conceptual, problem-solving, communication, and staff/user training skills
Experience working with K-12 education data and school district staff
Highly self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively
