About the role
MoonPay seeks a Principal Risk Analyst to identify, measure, and mitigate risks across its crypto payments business. Make risk decisions with incomplete information
Translate technical risk into business impact for non-specialists
What you’ll need
5-10 years in risk management at a payments company, fintech, exchange, bank, or crypto firm
Hands-on credit/counterparty, operational, or market risk experience in a regulated or high-growth environment
Strong quantitative and analytical skills; comfortable building dashboards and models from raw data
Deep understanding of crypto payments end to end, blockchain fundamentals, cross-chain bridges, DeFi, hedging, and stablecoins
Experience with blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic) and on-chain data exploration
Excellent judgment under uncertainty, clear communication, collaborative approach, and a professional risk certification (FRM, PRM, CAMS) or quantitative degree
