About the role
Staff engineer role to architect and build Together Cloud's AI compute infrastructure, focusing on GPU virtualization, networking, and large-scale distributed systems. Lead technical direction and mentor senior engineers.
What you’ll do
Set technical direction for AI compute infrastructure
Build major components of GPU and network virtualization
Design and implement in-data-center IaaS and scheduling systems
Develop fault-tolerant management systems
Own architecture of large distributed systems
Provide technical leadership and drive alignment
What you’ll need
7+ years of professional software development experience
Expert-level proficiency in at least one backend language (Golang preferred)
Deep experience building distributed microservice architectures
Deep Kubernetes internals experience
Deep experience with VMs/hypervisors like QEMU/KVM
Experience virtualizing GPUs and/or InfiniBand
