Chess.com is hiring a Senior Product Designer to lead high-impact growth experiences that connect players across web, iOS, and Android. The role partners with Product, Engineering, and Design to shape product direction, improve consistency and craft, and carry design work through implementation.
What you’ll do
Lead high-impact experiences that help players connect across web, iOS, and Android
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to shape product direction
Improve design consistency and craft across the product
Carry design work through implementation
Own complex product work from early problem definition through implementation
Influence product and design decisions and navigate cross-functional priorities
What you’ll need
5+ years of experience as a Product Designer on a consumer-facing product or game
Portfolio of polished web and mobile UI design work demonstrating craft and product thinking
Mastery of UI design fundamentals including typography, color, layout, and visual hierarchy
Experience using agentic tools like Cursor and Claude to build shareable prototypes
Strong design system fluency and ability to improve consistency across features
Love for chess and knowledge of Chess.com and its product experience
