About the role
Fortrea's Global Quality Assurance organization is seeking an experienced QA Compliance Lead Auditor to provide regulatory expertise, lead complex GCP audits and inspections, and support global quality initiatives. This remote role, preferably based near Durham, NC, requires deep GCP/GxP knowledge, strong QMS/CAPA capabilities, and US work authorization without sponsorship.
What you’ll do
Lead complex GCP audits and inspections
Provide regulatory expertise and support global quality initiatives
Contribute to QA policy development
Support audit and inspection readiness and responses
Track quality metrics and drive continuous improvement
Lead or contribute to quality and process improvement initiatives
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific discipline (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 8 years in a regulated environment, including GxP roles
Experienced Lead GCP Auditor with risk-based assessment and critical thinking skills
Strong knowledge of GCP, applicable global regulations, QMS, quality issue management, and CAPA
Strong strategic communication skills with clients and internal stakeholders
Legally entitled to work in the US without employer-sponsored work permits
