About the role
Sage Care is hiring a Software Engineer to build and operate AI agent systems for healthcare care navigation. The role focuses on production AI systems, evaluation and ML pipelines, and improving workflows such as scheduling and medication refills.
What you’ll do
Build AI agent systems for care navigation
Develop evaluation and machine learning pipelines

Investigate failures across live and offline components

Turn research prototypes into reliable production systems
What you’ll need
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Experience building and operating AI production systems
Strong backend engineering and architecture decision skills
Deep experience in AI agent orchestration or ML pipelines, evaluation, and feedback systems
Hands-on experience with LLM-based applications and their behavior and limitations
Experience with voice/conversational AI, platform building, fine-tuning, or research-to-production
