About the role
Upstart seeks a Senior Software Engineer for Core Pricing to build scalable, reliable pricing systems that support lending decisions. The role owns technical projects end-to-end and partners with engineering, data science, product, and business teams.

Own technical projects from development through production
Improve pricing-service architecture
Partner with engineering, data science, product, and business teams on technically complex initiatives
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent) plus 4 years of software engineering experience
Experience writing production software in Python and working with Java, Kotlin, or another strongly typed language
Experience designing, building, and operating scalable APIs, distributed systems, or microservices in a cloud environment such as AWS or GCP
Experience owning the technical design and delivery of complex software projects from development through production
Experience building production systems with requirements related to scalability, latency, reliability, or correctness
Experience partnering with data science and product teams to productionize models, decisioning logic, or experimentation capabilities
