About the role

What you’ll do
Build and maintain the Shopify e-commerce platform and related frontend/backend services
Own features end-to-end including integrations, testing, deployment, and monitoring
Mentor junior developers and collaborate with the team
Integrate Shopify Admin and Storefront GraphQL APIs, metafields, webhooks, and checkout
Implement Shopify Functions, particularly for discounts
5+ years of software development experience across frontend and backend
Strong hands-on experience with Shopify APIs, metafields, webhooks, and checkout
Strong command of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks like React, Next.js, or Vue
Proven backend experience with Node.js, Python, or similar and solid API architecture skills
Good understanding of AWS services and event-driven architectures
Good understanding of CI/CD, testing approaches, and deployment pipelines
