About the role
The Railroad Commission of Texas is hiring a Senior Geographic Information Specialist for its onsite IT Services GIS Division in Austin, TX, to maintain enterprise geospatial data, support spatial applications and analysis, and provide GIS-related permitting assistance.
What you’ll do
Maintain enterprise geospatial data and map products
Support spatially enabled applications and geospatial analysis
Provide GIS-related permitting assistance
Ensure compliance with applicable policies and statutes
Communicate regulatory information to varied audiences
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in computer science, geography, GIS, or related field; education and experience may substitute
Professional experience with ESRI GIS products including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise
Progressive experience creating, managing, and editing versions in an enterprise geodatabase
Experience building and maintaining projects in Python v3.8+
Valid Texas Driver's License and good driving record
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work collaboratively
