About the role
You will own top-level physical design for custom SoCs powering AWS machine learning servers, ensuring advanced node integration and verification. This senior role requires expert physical verification skills and offers the chance to mentor junior engineers.
What you’ll do
Design and optimize custom SoCs for AWS ML servers
Perform physical verification for advanced technology nodes
Manage backend physical design flows for chip-top/subsystems
Solve physical design challenges across DDR, PCIe, fabrics, etc.
Extract design parameters, QOR metrics, and analyze trends
Mentor and lead junior engineers
What you’ll need
BS + 10 years or MS + 7 years in EE/CS or related field
5+ years in physical verification for advanced technology nodes
Knowledge of backend physical design flows (FC/Innovus)
Expert knowledge of physical verification tools (Calibre, IC Validator, PVS)
Experience with integration and verification in advanced nodes (5nm or below)
Expertise in DFM and reliability verification (ESD, EM, IR drop)
