About the role
Founding Engineer to own and grow Insure Stack, an AI-native insurance distribution platform, leading the quoting engine, carrier automation, LLM pipelines, and full-stack product while shaping engineering standards. The role offers direct exposure to a working insurance agency to learn the industry from the inside.
What you’ll do
Own and grow Insure Stack, the AI-native insurance distribution platform
Lead development of the quoting engine
Build carrier automation
Develop LLM pipelines
Build the full-stack product
Shape engineering standards and contribute to product and business decisions
What you’ll need
Owner mentality, communicates technical tradeoffs in business terms, moves fast and sweats details
Track record as a founding, solo, or early stage engineer
Strong Python plus Next.js, React, and Node.js
Hands-on Playwright or browser automation in production
Production LLM experience including evaluation (Langfuse or similar)
Insurance or insurtech experience, ideally commercial trucking or commercial auto, is a strong plus
