About the role
EY is looking for a senior engineering leader to head its AI Platform Engineering group, building and operating secure, reliable, and portable AI infrastructure across cloud, on-premises, edge, client-managed, and air-gapped environments. The role combines hands-on technical depth with directing and developing a team of senior engineers.
What you’ll do
Lead and develop EY's AI Platform Engineering group
Design, build, and operate reliable, secure, portable AI platform environments
Deliver across cloud, on-premises, edge, client-managed, and air-gapped deployments
Act as a player-coach, contributing hands-on while directing and unblocking engineers
Own the platform infrastructure roadmap, architecture, and delivery trade-offs
Drive reliability, automation, incident leadership, and SLO ownership
What you’ll need
10+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, or large-scale Kubernetes
3+ years leading engineering teams while remaining an active hands-on contributor
Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes distributions and full cluster lifecycle management
Deep experience with bare-metal, cloud, hybrid, on-prem, and air-gapped deployment models
Strong grounding in cluster networking, storage, multi-tenancy isolation, and GPU infrastructure
Experience with infrastructure-as-code/GitOps tooling and AI inference serving technologies
