About the role
Hims & Hers is hiring a Staff Industrial Designer on a 12-month contract to lead physical product design and scale design systems. The role partners with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and operations while mentoring designers from concept through production.
What you’ll do
Lead creative direction for physical products across the portfolio
Partner with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and operations
Guide products from concept through production
Scale design systems, CMF standards, and frameworks across projects
Mentor designers and elevate collaboration standards
Resolve complex, ambiguous design problems across multiple initiatives
What you’ll need
8+ years of industrial design experience designing physical consumer or health/medical hardware shipped at scale
Portfolio demonstrating expert craft across multiple creative disciplines from concept sketches to manufactured products
Experience contributing to design systems, CMF standards, or frameworks that scale across multiple projects
Demonstrated ability to resolve complex, ambiguous design problems across more than one initiative at a time
Deep fluency in sketching, 3D CAD (Rhino/SolidWorks/Fusion 360), KeyShot, and hands-on prototyping
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, DFM principles, and experience partnering with engineering/operations and mentoring peers
