About the role
Pindrop seeks a Senior Software Engineer for its Platform Core team to own and evolve high-scale backend and data-layer services, improving reliability, scalability, latency, and cost. The role involves self-directed, collaborative work in cloud-native environments and requires strong experience with Python/Go and distributed systems.
What you’ll do
Own and evolve high-scale backend and data-layer services
Improve reliability, scalability, latency, and cost of platform services
Support Pindrop products across voice, video, and digital interactions
Drive work forward with limited supervision
Exercise sound judgment during incidents and tradeoff discussions
Raise team standards by example and mentorship
What you’ll need
5-7+ years of experience building backend services and APIs in production
Strong hands-on experience with Python and/or Go
Experience with distributed systems, concurrency, and cloud-native development on AWS and/or GCP using Kubernetes and Docker
Proven production ownership including deploying, monitoring, troubleshooting, and participating in on-call
Strong experience with data and messaging technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and RabbitMQ
Strong observability habits across metrics, logs, and traces
