5+ years of hands-on systems programming in C or C++
Strong operating systems fundamentals
Deep knowledge of the Linux kernel and its networking stack

Experience bringing up new hardware from scratch
Understanding of peripheral hardware interfaces (Ethernet, PCIe, I2C, SPI) and security hardening
