About the role
Jessica Schuster Design is seeking an Intermediate Architect to support high-end residential interior projects through technical drawing development, documentation, and construction administration in their New York studio. The role requires 3-5 years of experience, strong detailing skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and related design software.
What you’ll do
Develop and coordinate interior architectural drawing sets including floor plans, RCPs, elevations, sections, millwork drawings, and details
Translate design direction from Principal and Senior Designers into accurate technical documentation
Coordinate architectural documentation with architects, contractors, fabricators, and specialty consultants
Review millwork shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and submittals for design intent and accuracy
Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies and technical coordination issues
Support preparation of client presentations
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture
3-5 years of professional experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Workspace
Strong technical drafting and detailing skills with understanding of architectural drawing conventions
Familiarity with residential construction practices and coordination with architects of record
Experience in high-end residential interior design or architecture studio
