About the role
Fairfield University is hiring an AI Solutions Developer to build and support AI-enabled applications, assistants, agents, and workflows for faculty, staff, and students. The role also contributes to AI architecture and integrates Workday and other enterprise systems in secure cloud and on-premise environments.
What you’ll do
Build AI-enabled applications, assistants, agents, and workflows
Integrate Workday and other enterprise systems
Help shape the University's AI architecture
Deliver secure, scalable cloud and on-premise solutions
Support AI tools for faculty, staff, and students
Extend enterprise systems through APIs and integration tools
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience
3-5 years of hands-on software development experience
Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or similar
Experience building and consuming REST APIs and microservices
Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines
Experience deploying services on AWS and/or Azure
