About the role
CTG is hiring a Middleware Engineer for a client to administer, maintain, and support a Software AG webMethods environment, focusing on B2B integrations, performance, security, and production troubleshooting. This is a remote contract role in the United States paying $48–$52 per hour.
What you’ll do
Administer, maintain, and support the Software AG webMethods middleware environment
Manage B2B integrations and secure partner connectivity
Ensure platform performance and security
Troubleshoot production issues
Support deployments and middleware operations
What you’ll need
Minimum 5–7 years of experience administering and supporting webMethods v10.x or higher in enterprise environments
Hands-on expertise with Software AG webMethods, including Integration Server, Universal Messaging, MWS, API Gateway, Trading Networks, and CloudStreams
Strong understanding of B2B integration, EDI/EDIINT, AS2/AS3, and secure partner connectivity
Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration, Bash or Python scripting, and JVM performance tuning
Experience with middleware performance optimization, production support, and secure enterprise integrations
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
