About the role
Michael Baker International seeks a highly connected Business Developer to lead MEP engineering growth across California and the West Region, leveraging strong industry relationships to expand the firm's footprint in K-12, higher education, commercial, municipal, and design-build markets.
What you’ll do
Lead business development for MEP engineering services across California and West Region.
Identify and pursue opportunities in K-12, higher education, commercial, municipal, and design-build markets.
Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, developers, architects, contractors, and school districts.
Partner with engineering leadership to develop growth strategies and identify new markets.
Support strategic pursuits, client presentations, teaming discussions, and relationship-development activities.
Represent Michael Baker at industry events and maintain a visible presence in the California AEC community.
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
California Professional Engineer (PE) license.
10+ years of AEC industry experience.
Proven experience in business development and client development.
Established professional relationships within the California AEC market.
Highly entrepreneurial mindset.
