About the role
Pindrop is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Capture team to design, build, and operate distributed services for real-time ingestion of audio, video, and telephony metadata, powering fraud detection and authentication. The role requires expertise in Go, cloud-native infrastructure, and real-time communication protocols.
What you’ll do
Design, build, and operate distributed services for real-time ingestion of audio, video, and telephony metadata
Support downstream analytics, fraud detection, and authentication
Participate in on-call production support
What you’ll need
5+ years of professional software development experience building and operating distributed backend services in production
Strong proficiency in Go or a comparable compiled language with Linux/Unix, networking, concurrency, and performance tuning fundamentals
Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS/GCP), containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices (Terraform/CDK, CI/CD pipelines)
Proven track record of diagnosing and resolving complex issues in distributed systems, including on-call production support
Experience with real-time communication protocols and streaming frameworks (SIPREC, VoIP, SIP, RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, FFmpeg, GStreamer)
Experience with event-driven messaging systems (Apache Kafka/MSK), distributed caching, or service-to-service API design (REST/gRPC) and observability tooling
