About the role

What you’ll do

• Deliver high-impact features for the practice management and EHR platform
• Partner with product, design, support, and clinical stakeholders to shape product direction
• Guide technical architecture and engineering team effectiveness
• Improve reliability, performance, security, and privacy across the platform
• Participate in on-call, incident response, and observability practices
• Mentor engineers and improve planning, building, testing, and release processes

What you’ll need

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including senior or staff level
• Deep expertise in at least one modern backend ecosystem and ability to work across the stack
• Proven record designing, shipping, and operating production systems at scale in the cloud
• Strong system design skills including data modeling, APIs and integrations, distributed systems, and performance at scale
• Demonstrated technical leadership without formal authority and experience mentoring engineers
• Excellent remote communication skills and daily use of AI coding and agentic tools
