Akamai's Inference Cloud team is seeking a Machine Learning Senior Software Engineer to build and operate AI platforms, focusing on model validation, security scanning, optimization, safety, routing, and lifecycle evaluation. What you’ll do
Develop systems and pipelines for model validation
Implement security scanning for AI models
Optimize models for performance and safety
Manage model routing and lifecycle evaluation
What you’ll need
5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field
Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX including training, fine-tuning, and inference optimization
Proficiency in model quantization techniques such as GPTQ, AWQ, and GGUF
Experience with LLMs, transformer architectures, and multi-modal AI systems
Familiarity with model safety and responsible AI practices
Proficiency in Python and production data or ML pipelines
