About the role
Caterpillar seeks a Senior Connectivity Systems Engineer to lead the development and integration of machine connectivity solutions, translating business needs into technical requirements and driving delivery across engineering teams with a focus on AI-enhanced workflows.
What you’ll do
Lead development, integration, validation, and delivery of machine connectivity capabilities
Translate business and product needs into system requirements and technical plans
Coordinate across engineering teams to deliver complex technical solutions
Drive issue resolution and root cause analysis of system-level issues
Implement AI-assisted development and testing in engineering workflows
Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Platform teams
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering
5+ years of functional work experience
Experience with machine connectivity, telematics, embedded systems, CAN/J1939, Ethernet, cellular, Wi-Fi, or satellite
Demonstrated experience leading features/systems from requirements through integration, validation, and release
Experience partnering with product, engineering, and platform teams and translating business needs into technical requirements
Practical experience with Azure DevOps and AI tools (Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, AI agents)
