About the role
PACCAR seeks a hands-on Lead Software Engineer to define technical direction and deliver software, data, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions for its Validation team, improving validation efficiency, consistency, and quality. The role involves integrating enterprise systems, building user-facing data products, and leading technical design and mentorship.
What you’ll do
Define technical direction for validation software and data solutions
Deliver software, data automation, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions
Integrate enterprise systems through APIs, services, databases, or lakehouse platforms
Create portals, dashboards, analytics applications, reports, or engineering interfaces
Review technical designs and code
Mentor contributors and communicate tradeoffs across teams
What you’ll need
7+ years of engineering experience with 5+ years in software, data, platform, or automation engineering
Advanced recent experience with Python and SQL
Systems thinking and architectural judgment across software, data, interfaces, security, and operations
Experience delivering production software, data pipelines, automation, and user-facing data products
Experience with C#/.NET, TypeScript/JavaScript, and Microsoft platforms including Azure, Power Platform, Power BI, and Microsoft 365
Experience with vehicle, test, measurement, telemetry, calibration, or validation data and machine-learning/AI solutions
