About the role
CoreWeave seeks an Engineering Manager to lead its Observability team, building and operating scalable telemetry and monitoring systems for its AI cloud platform. The role combines people leadership with technical ownership of reliability, performance, and platform adoption.
What you’ll do
Lead and manage the Observability engineering team
Build and operate observability systems for logs, metrics, traces, and alerting
Ensure platform reliability and performance as the company scales
Partner with infrastructure, security, and application engineering teams to drive adoption
Scale telemetry systems including storage backends and query layers
Hire and manage engineering teams
What you’ll need
5+ years of software engineering experience with production systems at scale
2+ years of engineering management experience leading senior engineers and technical leads
Experience building and operating observability platforms across logs, metrics, traces, or alerting in distributed systems
Knowledge of reliability engineering concepts including SLOs, SLIs, incident management, error budgets, and fault-tolerant design
Experience with OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus-compatible systems, log aggregation, and distributed tracing tools
Experience operating cloud-native infrastructure, including Kubernetes environments
