About the role
Zions Bancorporation is hiring a remote Software Engineer for its QA Services team to focus on performance engineering and application tuning across online and batch banking platforms. What you’ll do
Perform performance engineering and application performance tuning
Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of online and batch platforms
Analyze performance of REST APIs, SOAP services, event-driven systems, microservices, and batch processing
Troubleshoot CPU bottlenecks, memory leaks, thread contention, garbage collection, and database latency issues
Implement SRE practices, SLI/SLO frameworks, and monitoring/observability solutions
Support high-volume enterprise banking or financial systems
What you’ll need
4-5+ years in Performance Engineering, SRE, or Software Engineering with Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Strong experience with Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar performance testing tools
Proficiency in Java, Python, C#, or similar programming languages
Knowledge of Linux, cloud platforms (Google Cloud), Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
