About the role
Stripe is looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead accounting products, starting with Revenue Recognition for Stripe Billing and Metronome. The role focuses on setting product strategy, building agentic accounting workflows, and delivering accurate, controlled financial results for finance teams.
What you’ll do
Set product strategy and roadmap for accounting products
Develop agentic accounting workflows for finance teams
Help finance teams produce accurate, explainable financial results with appropriate controls
Work directly with specialized users to uncover underlying needs
Align cross-functional teams and drive decisions without formal authority
Take products from ambiguity to execution, sequencing multi-year opportunities
What you’ll need
10+ years of product management experience delivering complex, technically or domain-intensive products as a senior individual contributor
Experience building products for finance, accounting, or similarly demanding domains with high standards for accuracy, controls, and traceability
Experience building accounting products for controllers, accounting teams, or the Office of the CFO
Working knowledge of revenue recognition under ASC 606 or IFRS 15, including usage-based pricing and contract modifications
Experience building AI or agent-powered products with defined controls and human review or approval workflows
Familiarity with general ledgers and ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Xero, plus an accounting background or CPA is preferred
