What you’ll do
Design, build, and support modular services and REST APIs for the EDGE V4 Calculation Engine
Translate building science formulas and rules into maintainable Python components
Support integration, quality, operations, and ongoing delivery
Collaborate with product owners, architects, building science specialists, QA, UX, DevOps, and business stakeholders
Identify automation and productivity gains using AI, Generative AI, intelligent agents, and developer tooling
Design automated unit, integration, regression, and API tests
What you’ll need
Minimum 8 years of professional Python development experience
Strong proficiency in modern Python, object-oriented design, modular architecture, and PEP 8 standards
Hands-on experience developing REST APIs with FastAPI including request validation, versioning, authentication, and OpenAPI documentation
Strong SQL and PostgreSQL knowledge including data modeling, queries, indexing, transaction management, and performance optimization
Experience with Pydantic, PyTest, importlib, caching, configuration management, and reusable Python packages
Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, secrets management, logging, monitoring, and application support
