About the role
Vestwell is looking for a Senior Product Manager to build a comprehensive recordkeeping and saver experience for a 529 prepaid tuition program. The role involves owning functional areas end-to-end, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring other PMs, with a focus on financial systems and data integration.
What you’ll do
Own product discovery, requirements, testing, and launch for complex functional areas
Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, QA, Operations)
Guide and mentor other product managers
Interface with internal stakeholders, executives, and external clients
Document business/functional requirements and use cases
Drive the software development lifecycle in an Agile environment
What you’ll need
5+ years of Product Management experience, including owning a large, cross-functional initiative end to end
Experience building complex financial or transaction-based systems (e.g., recordkeeping, payments, ledgers)
Exceptional business and systems analysis skills
Experience driving the software development lifecycle in an Agile environment
Experience with SQL and data integrations (e.g., APIs, JSON, XML, file-based integrations)
Experience with 529, ABLE, or other government savings programs
