About the role
Progress Software is hiring a Product Counsel to advise management and internal teams on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues throughout product design, development, release, marketing, and cloud services. The role partners with product and business teams to support product life cycles, commercial agreements, and compliance with laws and company policies.
What you’ll do
Advise management and internal teams on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues
Support product life cycles from design through release and marketing
Partner with product and business teams on commercial agreements
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies
Address data protection, security, and cloud services legal matters
What you’ll need
Law degree
Minimum 5 years of relevant in-house product counsel experience, preferably in technology
Significant experience with intellectual property, licensing, privacy, and trade compliance
Strong drafting and negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills and understanding of technology architectures
HIPAA compliance experience highly desired
