About the role
Senior software engineer contractor role designing, developing, and supporting Java-based enterprise applications, APIs, and event-driven microservices for a confidential client's Total Rewards portfolio, including modernization and integration initiatives.
What you’ll do
Design and develop Java-based enterprise applications, APIs, and event-driven microservices
Support the Total Rewards portfolio including modernization and integration initiatives
Support production systems in large enterprise or financial services environments
Troubleshoot applications using logging, monitoring, and observability tools
What you’ll need
6 to 8 years of experience
Strong hands-on Java, Spring Boot/Spring Framework, Apache Kafka, microservices, and REST APIs
Experience developing high-volume, event-driven applications with advanced Kafka concepts
Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift, containerization, and cloud technologies
Experience with observability tools such as Dynatrace or Splunk
Bachelor's degree in computer science/relevant field or equivalent work experience
